How to leadONE

Here are some suggestions to leading someone to Christ
1. Identify who you are going to reach. Choose a friend, acquaintance, or family member.

2. Start by praying for them; ask God to help you!

3. Find a time to share with them your story.  How has Christ changed you?  Be specific.  Share with them the inexplicable things that God has done for you.  Be real, human, and compassionate.  For some this may seem difficult to find the right timing.  One great way to get the conversation going is to simply invite them to a church where there will be an alter call (salvation prayer).   This is a great way to get you talking about faith.  At church expect that God will move on them just like He moved on you.

Lead them in this prayer, “Dear Father God, I ask you to forgive me of all of my sins, and I ask you dear Jesus to come into my heart, be my Lord and my Savior, in Jesus name, amen.”

4. Remember that God is a good God. God will help us have a better life both here on earth, and eternally.

5. Remember that going to a good church is key in your development as a Christian. It’s a weekly surge of truth from God’s word, a place where we can grow in our relationship with God and others, and an opportunity to give financially and in service to the Lord. “What if I don’t like the church?” Maybe you think church is full of people who are fake or cold or hateful or something. If that is your feeling, change it. (I mean change your feelings.) People are human. You are not going to find perfect humans, but you need to go and listen to God’s word. You should learn to get along with your brothers and sisters in the Lord. Pray for the church. Become a person of influence, and help motivate change.

6. Motivate others to join the team. Make copies of the commitment cards from www.leadONE.org. Make t-shirts that you sell at cost or give away. (Please do not ever think to use this as a means to gain wealth for yourself.) Put up the message on your myspace, facebook or twitter account. Put a banner ad on your website that links to www.leadone.org. Talk about it on your radio show. Put it in your church bulletin, make videos, however you like!
Be a part of something that is much bigger than one person. Let’s start a movement. A group of people who became ONE in vision.
